Cemeteries are open for Visiting Hours only. Cemetery offices are closed, and no burials are conducted.

Saturday Memorial Mass is held the first Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m.

HISTORY & FACILITIES

St. Michael Cemetery was established for parishioners of the Tri-Valley area by St. Michael Parish in 1880. The Diocese of Oakland Catholic Cemeteries was invited to assume responsibility for this parish cemetery on January 1, 1999.

Over the course of the cemetery’s nearly 120 years of service, more than 2,000 committal services have taken place.

The cemetery is fifteen acres, much of it already developed for ground burials. Two new ground burial sections have been developed, Our Lady of Guadalupe and the newest, St. Michael Section, offering choices of upright and pillow markers. There is a new columbarium in St. Michael Section for burial of cremated remains. St. Michael Cemetery offers burial of cremated remains in Our Lady of the Rosary Urn Garden. The Diocese of Oakland is currently evaluating the possibilities of additional entombments in the cemetery with private mausolea.
