Meet with the parish priest or a pastoral staff member to:
Confirm the date and time of the Catholic Funeral Rite.
  • Vigil: The community assembling in prayer, the evening before or morning of the Funeral Liturgy
  • Funeral Liturgy: The liturgy of the Word and The Eucharistic Sacrifice
  • Rite of Committal: A farewell to the deceased is their final "commendation to God" by the Church
 
Meet with the Catholic cemetery:
Select and purchase the burial location (if not pre-arranged).
Discuss the details of the Committal Service and confirm the date and time that it will be held.
