Use this simple guide to help you through difficulty of losing a loved one.

Meet with the Funeral Home:
Discuss dates and time for the Catholic Funeral Rite. Meet with the Funeral Director and arrange the funeral services.
Burial or cremation Casket or urn Flowers Memorial folders Funeral Home Guest book	Obituary options Transportation; escorts and limousines Attire of the deceased for the funeral Other available options

Meet with the parish priest or a pastoral staff member to:

Confirm the date and time of the Catholic Funeral Rite.

Vigil: The community assembling in prayer, the evening before or morning of the Funeral Liturgy
Funeral Liturgy: The liturgy of the Word and The Eucharistic Sacrifice
Rite of Committal: A farewell to the deceased is their final "commendation to God" by the Church

Meet with the Catholic cemetery:

Select and purchase the burial location (if not pre-arranged).
Discuss the details of the Committal Service and confirm the date and time that it will be held.
