Diana Lauren Buack

Diana Lauren (Ibarra) Buack passed away 29th of June at 3:06 pm in Hayward, California at the age of 70. She was born March 11th, 1950 in Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up Kalihi, Hawaii. She graduated from Aiea High School with the class of 1968. In 1976, she moved to San Diego and finally to Bay Area in 1982. For twenty-seven years she worked as an Accounts Receivable Clerk for the United States Cold Storage and for six years she worked as an Accountant’s assistant for LVI Services. Diana was the first-born daughter of Felicidad and Jose Ibarra Sr. along with her six other siblings: Bobby, Jufelia, Jose Jr., Madeline, Wilma, and Roland. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Buack, of fifty-four years and her daughter Patty Jones. She is lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Stanley, daughter-in-law Felicia, and her grandchildren: Kiana (24), Lexie (24), and Mateo (19). On January 29th of 2019 she was diagnosed with ALL+ (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia) and endured three months of aggressive chemotherapy. During her chemotherapy treatments it lowered her Immune System. Although her cancer was in remission since March of 2019, all those viruses and side effects deteriorated her overall health. She also acquired several wounds due to her being bed ridden all this time. Nevertheless, she was a fighter since day one until her last breath at 3pm on the 29th of June. While she was with us, Diana enjoyed reading, watching her soap operas, cooking, shopping, playing board games, Gin Rummy and more. She was a loving mother, daughter, aunt, and grandmother. She was a loving and caring individual who always opened her home to everyone that came by. Her love touched everyone she met, and her smile could light up a room. She will be truly missed by everyone. Her final resting place will be with her son, James Buack at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
