Surrounded by her family, Maria Danelia (“Danie”) Estanol, age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
Danie was born September 1, 1944 in Gubat, Sorsogon, Philippines. Danie graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology in 1967 with a degree in Civil Engineering. The last three decades of her professional career, Danie worked as an engineer for the City of Pittsburg, the City of San Pablo, and finally, the United States Coast Guard, where she retired in 2013.
After retirement, Danie spent her time traveling with her husband, visiting with family and friends, and making everyone laugh. Danie’s humor and wit will always be remembered, and her generous heart will surely be missed.
Danie is survived by Mario, her husband of 56 years; children, Maria (Rich), Anthony (Rachael), and Michelle (Mark); grandchildren, Richie (Paris), Hunter, and Miley; and great-granddaughter, Luna.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 at 9:30 am and the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 am, followed by the committal service at Holy Cross Cemetery & Funeral Center, 2200 E. 18th Street, Antioch, CA 94509.
