Esperanza Luz Chong

Esperanza Chong was born on September 30, 1935 in Tarma, Peru. Tarma is a city in the Andes Mountains of central part of the country. She left her beloved homeland to seek a future in the United States with her husband and 3 children. She knew there was opportunity and hope in this beautiful and great country. She later became a US citizen and was proud being an American, however she held a steadfast love for home and family in Peru.  To that she would visit her old country as often as she could. During her long life she was a hard worker and a devoted wife, mother, friend, sister, aunt, and entrepreneur. She was strong, smart, loving and generous. Her love for God was great and was deeply felt by her children. Her presence has impacted many lives and her loss will surely be felt by us all.
