Bird Watch Walk at Queen of Heaven Cemetery

April 24, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am PDT

“The early bird gets the worm”: fact or legend? Did you know that there are more than 30 different bird species that make our cemetery their home? Have you ever thought about getting into birdwatching? Do you simply love birds and want to know more about them? Do you just want to get out and get some fresh air in the company of some real in the flesh and safe human beings?
Join us Saturday April 24 for a free guided bird watching walk outdoors at our cemetery led by Robert and Sergio, two local dedicated and experienced bird watching enthusiasts who are involved in the yearly Christmas Bird Count through the Audubon Society.
Cemeteries are wonderful places to view birds because birds love hanging out here and Queen of Heaven is a refuge for them. There have been everything from Bald Eagles to the White-breasted Nuthatch here.
You will get answers to your burning bird questions and many more. You will enjoy a beautiful and safe excursion at our wonderful cemetery and the birds will appreciate your quiet attention!
We will walk safely and at a distance. We’ll enjoy the fresh air and pray for great weather.
Please come with your mask and comfortable walking shoes. Bring your best camera and if you have binoculars please bring them too. The walk will last 90 minutes or so.
See you here!
