Albert Menezes

Albert Menezes, 96, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, in Berkeley, CA. Albert was born to Portuguese immigrants and raised in Berkeley. He met the love of his life Patricia in 1955 and they were married 6 months later. They raised two children Denise and David in their home in Albany. Albert worked for O C Jones & Sons in Berkeley until he retired in 1989. Albert was preceded in death by his parents: Joaquin and Palmira Menezes; his sister, Florine Pender; and his daughter-in-law Linda Menezes. He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Patricia; his two children: Denise (Gary) Van Kuiken; and David Menezes; his four grandchildren: Michelle (Michael Johnson) Van Kuiken; Jared Van Kuiken; Daniel Menezes; and Sarah Menezes; and his great-grandchild: Lincoln Johnson. Services will be held on June 8, 2023, at St. Joseph Cemetery, 2540 Church Ln, San Pablo, CA. Visitation starts at 9 am, followed at 10:30 by the funeral mass and interment.
