Bernard R. Damele (Bernie) lived and worked for his family. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, golf and his beloved Oakland Raiders. Bernard is survived by his longtime companion Gesa Payne, children Steve Damele (Kim) and Nancy Damele, sisters Delma Damele and Mary Anne Minnick (Larry) and bonus children Carol Goldman (Ron), Irene Nasworthy (Mark) and Sonia Agee. Bernard was Grandpa Bernie/Nonno to twelve grand and great grandchildren and uncle to many. Bernard is preceded in death by parents Pietro Damele and Dora Nieri, Sister Joanne Arata, Brother Dennis Plagens, and granddaughter Autumn Myers. Services are planned for April 19, 2023 at St. Joseph Cemetery, 2540 Church Lane, San Pablo, CA 94806, viewing from 9:00 to 12:30, services and entombment from 12:30 to 2:00. In lieu of flowers, please donate to California Waterfowl Association/North Grasslands Committee, 1162 Main Street, Newman, California 95360.
