Our Beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt, Claudia Rae Casey, peacefully passed away on Feb 26th, 2022 with family by her side. She was 76 years old.
Born in Michigan, her family moved to Philadelphia where she met her husband Ed. They brought their family to Lafayette CA in 1983 and remain here today.
Claudia is survived by her husband Ed Casey SR. of 56 years, her children Claudia Casey Fernandez, Edward Casey, Raymond Casey and loving niece Catherine Torpey, her son in law Salvador Fernandez, daughter in law Mary Ann Casey and grandchildren Grant Webber (his wife Kaylyn), Edward Casey 3rd, Logan Casey, Samuel Casey, Cody Casey and Zachary Casey.
Claudia really enjoyed spending time with family, dedicating her life to raising her own children & niece and helping to raise all of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and operated two restaurants. eventually becoming a realtor and retiring early to help her family. She enjoyed Traveling and often talked about her trip to Europe with her husband, visiting the Vatican and seeing the Pope. She was above all a dedicated mother and grandmother, a prayerful woman who drew strength from God and a good friend of St Joseph. Her loving kindness, joyful singing and zest for life will be missed by everyone.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 14th, 2022 - 10:00 am at St John Vianney Catholic Church, 1650 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
Claudia will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1965 Reliez VAlley Rd, Lafayette, CA 94549
