Corinne Chavez Donegan, 94 years of age, formerly of Santa Rosa, NM passed away peacefully on Monday, January 24, 2022. She was born on April 16, 1927, to Rosendo A. and Clara T. Chavez, in Tucumcari, NM. She grew up in Santa Rosa, NM.
She obtained her BA of music and voice in 1951 at The Cleveland Institute of Music.
She married Laurence C. Donegan in 1954. She lived in Hayward, California.
She was a faithful wife and mother to seven surviving children.
Judy Donegan Keating (spouse Richard Keating), Thomas Donegan, Stephen Donegan, Patricia Donegan Sabanal (spouse Michael Sabanal), Laurence C. Donegan (spouse Sherri Donegan), Christopher Donegan and Richard Donegan. She leaves 9 surviving grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Corinne is preceded in death by her husband Laurence C. Donegan. They were married for 52 years.
She taught piano and voice from her home. She was a devoted servant and follower of Christ.
She loved God with all of her heart, soul and mind. Her absolute passion was her family and her music.
She will be forever and greatly missed in all of our hearts.
A memorial viewing will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and Funeral Center at 1051 Harder Rd., Hayward on Monday – Feb 14, 2022 from 4-8pm. Mass at St. Bede’s Catholic Church at 26950 Patrick Ave., on Feb. 15th at 11am. Burial following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
