David Olveda

David Olveda, 33, of Arlington, Washington, passed July 10, 2022.

David was born January 19, 1989, in Walnut Creek, the fourth of five children to Francisco and Carmen Olveda. He was raised in Brentwood and moved to Washington in his early 20s. David earned his CNC machinist certification from Everett Community College and worked at Quest Tech Unlimited in Granite Falls the past seven years.

David met his fiancée Melissa Moore nine years ago. Together they have five children: Jorge, 14, Aydriana, 12, Annalisa, 7, Ninah, 7, and Athena, 7 months.

David will be remembered as a kind soul who made friends wherever he went. He was patient, loving, and stopped to help anyone in need. He believed in paying kindness forward and a “steady chugging” philosophy he had tattooed.

David is survived by his fiancée Melissa and children, all of Arlington; mother Carmen; and siblings Monika Kong, Carlos Olveda, Laura Olveda and Peter Olveda. He is preceded in death by his father Francisco.

Family and friends are invited to his services. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. followed by a vigil at 7 p.m., at Holy Cross Chapel in Antioch. Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Brentwood on 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2022 with a reception will follow. All are welcome.
