Emilia Paz dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great great grandmother, passed away peacefully in Suisun California, on the 21 st of September 2024, at the age of 89, surrounded by all her children and grandchildren and family members. She touched the hearts of many people, with her kindness, loyalty, dependability, beautiful smile and her willingness to help.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fernando Pineda and her mother Isabel Pineda Ferreria. She was one of five siblings.
She was born in Michoacan, Mexico, and migrated to the United States in 1964, with her four children, Rosa Maria, Jose Luis, Celia, Lourdes, to reunite with her husband, Jorge Paz, who was already a resident in San Francisco, California. After arriving in San
Francisco, Emilia gave birth to three girls, Maria Guadalupe, Margarita and Gloria Emilia. She had a total of seven children, six daughters and one son, whom she loved and sacrificed anything and everything for.
Emilia was deeply loved by her 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 3 great great- grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all her children, grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, sons-in-laws and daughter-in-law.
Emilia had a love for cooking, and you could always count on her offering you her delicious meals the moment you stepped foot in her home.
Her life revolved around her family and loved ones. She loved being around her kids, and grandkids, they were always blessed to have her big hugs, kisses, blessings and good advice.
She also found joy working in her garden. She loved smelling the flowers, the roses were her favorite. She also enjoyed the sun rays on her back, and hearing the birds sing.
She will continue to live in the hearts of all her family. She will be missed very much and her family will treasure everything she taught them, especially to have faith in God. Her legacy and memory will live in their hearts forever, may she rest in eternal peace.
A vigil will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1965 Reliez Valley Rd, Lafayette, Ca 94549 at the St. Cecilia Chapel on October 07, 2024 open to the public between 5:00 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the Light Cathedral, at 2121 Harrison St. Oakland Ca 94612 at 10 am on October 08, 2024.
