Eva C. West

Eva C. West (née Diaz), known affectionately as Eve, passed away on June 25, 2024, at the age of 88 in Livermore, California. Born on October 9, 1935, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Eve was a beacon of joy and faith throughout her life.

Eve graduated from Richmond High School and furthered her education at Shiloh Bible College. She dedicated 16 years as a full-time homemaker before embarking on a 30-year career as a Photo Tech color analyst at Faulkner Color Lab in San Francisco, California, from where she retired.

A devout member of Shiloh Church in Oakland, CA, Eve was deeply involved in church activities. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Her kindness and welcoming smile made her a cherished figure within her community.

Eve's passions included gardening and singing with her bird at home, activities that brought great joy to her and her family. She is survived by her daughters, Tere McGuire and her husband Mike; Maggie Blockley and her husband Adrian; son, Michael West and his wife Jean; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Toni Holder; and brother, Arthur Diaz and his wife Brenda.

Services will be held at St. Josephs Cemetery and Funeral Center, located at 2540 Church Ln., San Pablo, CA 94806. If you wish to send flowers they can be sent to the funeral home.
