Felix Garcia Lagasca, Jr.
June 29, 1932 - October 1, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Felix Garcia Lagasca Jr. who was loved, admired, and respected by many.
Felix “Jun” G. Lagasca Jr. was born on June 29, 1932 in Piddig, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Felix was the fifth child of Felix Lagasca Sr. and Juanita Lagasca. His sisters and brothers in order of birth were: Ursula, Milagros, Higino, Juanito, Luzviminda, Modesto, and Concepcion. There were two other siblings born before and after him; one died at birth and the other early in childhood.
Felix Jr. graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948. He survived the Japanese occupation during World War Two, but during that time he lost his father who was the police chief of Piddig before the war. After the war, his mother moved the family to Quezon City. He continued his education at Far Eastern University and Trinity College and at the same time as a working student at the Manila Post Office as a clerk and mail sorter.
In 1962, he married Rosario “Charito” A. Sy. They eventually separated in the late 70’s when she immigrated to San Francisco. Felix Jr. was petitioned by his youngest daughter, Agatha and immigrated to America in 1992.
Felix Jr. lived a long, active, loving, and wonderful life. He is survived by his four children Christian Adonis, Felix Joy, Joanne Charifel, and Agatha Presentacion, his sister; Luzviminda, son-in-law and daughters-in-law, and a large number of nephews, nieces, grandchildren, grandnephews, grandnieces, five great-grandchildren, great-grandnephews, and great-grandnieces.
Felix Jr.’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit and legacy live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing the “Jack of All Trades”. May he rest in paradise and reunite with those who have gone before him.
Visitation for Mr. Felix G. Lagasca, Jr. will be at the Holy Cross Chapel in Antioch, CA on October 19, 2023, at 4 P.M. Rosary and Vigil will be at 6 P.M. followed by some refreshments across the hall in the reception area.
The funeral will be held the following day on October 20, 2023, at 9 A.M. During this time, there will be a two-hour viewing with Holy Mass starting at 11 A.M. After Mass, the burial will be at the same place in Antioch, CA ending with a reception.
