It is with sadness of heart that we share the passing of our brother Francisco Javier Zepeda, who died of heart complications. Francisco was born in La Cumbre, Jalisco, Mexico, to Jose de Jesus and Sofia Zepeda. He was the second of eight children. The family migrated to Brentwood, CA. in 1973 and shortly after moved to Knightsen, CA., where he attended and graduated from Knightsen Elementary. He then attended and graduated Liberty High School in 1981. Francisco loved sports especially basketball. He played basketball all four years and was captain of his team. He attended community college and then began working in road construction. He worked for different cities in the bay area and El Dorado County as a machine operator. He also drove cargo trailers for a living.
He is survived by his son Frankie, his parents Jose de Jesus and Sofia, siblings Gilberto, Luis (Sue), Silvia Melgoza (Hector), Fr. Jose, Salvador (Beatriz), Carlos (Angelica), Andres and 21 Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 500 Fairview Avenue Brentwood, CA. Please observe all Covid-19 guidelines. The viewing is scheduled for Monday, February 22 from 4:00PM - 6:00 PM. The funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, February 23 at 11:00AM. The comital service immediately after Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery 2200 East 18th Street Antioch, CA.
