On Thursday, October 8, 2022, Janice Joyce McEneany, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at age eighty-two while in hospice. She was born September 17, 1940 in San Jose, CA, daughter of Caton Clarence Lawrence and Edna Mae Silva Lawrence.
An avid reader and lifelong learner, Janice earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and spent over thirty-five years teaching elementary school in Fremont, CA. Janice was best known for her fierce determination and generous spirit. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas McEneany, and brother, Caton Lawrence.
She is survived by her daughter, Colleen McEneany, and her husband, ShawnMurray; son, Thomas Casey McEneany, and his wife Andrea; four grandchildren, Allynn McEneany-Murray, Thomas McEneany-Murray, Kyla McEneany, and Aidan McEneany; sister-in-law Sharon Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 12 p.m. at Holy Sepluchre.
