Jon Bernardo Ignacio, 39 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday March 4, 2024, at home in Concord, Ca. Born on February 22, 1985, in Walnut Creek, CA. He was the son of Florentino V. Ignacio Jr. and Marietta Bernardo Ignacio. Jon was the older brother to Brian Bernardo Ignacio.
Jon attended Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, CA as an Industrial Designer. He has worked as a fashion/magazine photographer, hospitality host, and specialty baker.
He enjoyed the outdoors with his friends and family. They camped all over the west coast, bouldering in gyms and parks, and shared great laughs and stories around the firepit while enjoying great hazy craft beer and barbeque.
He was part of several close-knit communities that knew how reliable, trustworthy, and honest he was. One of his biggest accomplishments is battling his illness for 22 years instead of predicted 5 years.
He was survived by his partner of 6 years Kathleen Celedio and their two fluffy cats, Reptar and Cake.
His vigil is on March 26. funeral on March 27 and final resting place in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette, CA.
