Linda Catherine Viloria

Linda Catherine Viloria was born in Pasadena, CA to Clara Winfred Ford and Candido Villanueva Viloria Sr. on November 16, 1944. Linda graduated from Azusa H.S, in 1962 and went onto study at Cal State Fullerton and received a B.A. in Philosophy in 1968. She had a free spirit and traveled to France as a young adult and was an Au pair for a family in France. Linda had a lifelong love of jazz, classical, r&b music, and fashion. She appreciated diversity and inclusion for all people and has a deep love for animals and especially her cats Abby, Squirrel, Cyrus & Blue. Linda also had an inquisitive respect for education and for all people and cultures and enjoyed working at UC Berkeley & University of Irvine working in education. She also enjoyed meeting people, many whom have become lifelong friends. Linda was fiercely loyal to her friends and family and often took them to visit and tour the city she was proud to call home. She worked for Wells Fargo Bank as a banker in Louisiana, moved from the French Quarter of Louisiana and later migrated to San Francisco, CA. Linda lived in the Oakland Hills and later became a homeowner buying her condo in SF, CA. She had a strong sense of equity and justice and enjoyed volunteering her free time to deliver food for Project Open Hand for those less fortunate. She later changed careers and was promoted from Administrative Assistant to Fabric Analyst ordering bolts of fabric for Levi’s 501 men’s blue jeans. Linda did this for thirteen years before retiring in her 50’s. She loved keeping busy and had a passion to become a business owner. She managed a stationary store called Scribbles in SF, CA. and later would own a branch store called Scribbles Too in Downtown Oakland. She also was a board president at her condominium complex and advocated for her neighbor’s rights while living there for 20 + years. Linda is survived by her son, Kenneth Langill of Vallejo, CA and her Brother Candido Jr. Viloria, wife Vicky, in Salt Lake City, Utah and her nieces, Tracy, Hope and Melissa, cousins, extended family and friends’. A celebration of life ceremony will take place soon taking Linda’s remains to be distributed over the ocean and having select friends and family for a gathering to celebrate her 79 years of life, love, joy and friendship as she brought to us all while in this world.
