We remember and honor Louis Dalnoki, 85, of San Lorenzo, California, who peacefully passed away on April 27, 2025.
Louis was born to Lajos Dalnoki and Hegedus Maria in Baja, Hungary in 1940, and bravely made his way to America at the age of 17. He was a machinist for over 50 years, starting in Hungary, then in Ohio and finally in California. He married his first wife and they had a son, Laszlo. In June of 1972, he married the love of his life, Jo-Ann, and together they had two more sons, Robert and Thomas and were married over 50 years.
He spent over 30 years at George E Martin in Emeryville as a machinist before he retired to enjoy the life of a grandfather. When he was not taking care of his grandkids, he was an avid gardener. He was especially fond of tending to his beautiful roses. A dedicated Golden State Warriors fan since 1970, he rarely missed a game.
Louis was known for his selfless and generous spirit, always ready to help those in need. He loved taking Saturday drives and finding a great new restaurant on those trips. His love of history would lead to deep conversations on the topic with family, neighbors and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife Jo-Ann, three sons, three daughters-in-law, seven grandchildren, and a great granddaughter.
