Maria Corazon Estanislao Cosio

Maria Corazon Estanislao Cosio, 74, passed away on March 21st, 2024, in Fremont, California.

Maria was born in Santa Ana, Manila, Philippines on July 11, 1949. She was the 3rd of 6 children to Marina & Antonio Estanislao. She studied Business Administration at Jose Rizal University in Manila, Philippines, before migrating to San Leandro, California to join her Mother, Marina, & sister, Salud, in 1973. A few years later, she returned to the Philippines to wed her then husband, Victor. Maria & Victor then returned to the US to start a family. Once settled in the Bay Area, Maria worked in administration for over 25 years, starting out at Delaval in San Leandro, California, and then at Kaiser in Oakland, California where she retired. She enjoyed watching sports, spending time with her family & friends, shopping, and above all, cooking for those she loved.

Maria was a loving, thoughtful, and caring human; a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Geoffrey & Rosanna Cosio; her 2 grandchildren Jeremie & Giovanni; her 3 sisters, Salud, Tessie, & Lita; and her several nieces & nephews, Jennifer, Alex, Rey, Tiffany, Miles, Katrina, Priscilla, Norrie Jane, & Nicole.

Our family is grateful to know that Maria is finally at peace as she entered eternal rest to join her parents, Marina & Antonio, & her siblings, Jun & Lydia.

A celebration of life for Maria will be held at St. Michael’s Chapel of Holy Sepulchre in Hayward, California on April 18th, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm.
