With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Natalie Gomez Nanez on February 6, 2024.
Natalie was born in Bisbee Arizona in 1932. When she was a young girl the family moved to California settling in Pittsburg in 1945. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1951. She soon began working for Pacific Bell and retired 35 years later. Natalie took pride in caring for her parents and raising her daughter as a single parent. She loved her nieces and nephews and the loves of her life were her three grandchildren.
Natalie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Micaela Gomez, her brother Gerardo Gomez, and her sisters Erlinda Palomo, Catherine Cadena, and Beatrice Castro. She is survived by her daughter Erlinda Nanez Jones (James) of Concord, 3 grandchildren: Arthur Jones, Daniel Jones and Mariana Jones and many nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly.
Visitation on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, begins at 5:00 pm with Vigil service at 7:00pm. Visitation on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, begins at 9:00 am. Funeral mass begins at 11:00 am followed by Committal services. All services and reception are at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2200 East 18th Street, Antioch.
