PAULETTE M. BRINLEE

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Paulette Brinlee, fondly known to many as “Mama Brinlee.” Paulette was a source of warmth and joy, always greeted with smiles wherever she went. Her life was full of music, dance, laughter, faith, and animals. She was a dance teacher in her younger years and also a business owner and a passionate lover of animals. She had a special devotion to the care of cats and birds, and her garden was her sanctuary. Paulette proudly called herself “a grower,” spending countless hours nurturing plants and flowers. Her gardening brought her true happiness and was a form of worship for her faith and meditation.

Beyond her many talents, Paulette was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She cared deeply for her loved ones, especially her two children Elizabeth and Nathan, her daughter-in-law, Sarah and her grandchildren, Emmett, Juniper, and Meridian who were the joy of her heart. Her love for family was unwavering.

The last 25 years, Paulette faced several health challenges, which she met with courage, grace, and a deep appreciation for life’s smallest blessings. Her greatest wish was to remain at home during her final days, and we are grateful that she was able to find peace surrounded by the love of her family.

Paulette is survived by her two children, Elizabeth and Nathan, who were by her side in her last weeks. Her legacy of love, resilience, and joy will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Those that knew Paulette understood she was a private woman and did not want a funeral. She was able to connect with those most dear to her. There will be a burial at St. Michael Cemetery, 3885 East Avenue, Livermore, CA 94550, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 1:30PM. It will be a casual occasion. No formal attire needed.
