Rosina Lassalle

Rosina “Rose” Lassalle of Castro Valley went home to Jesus on October 23, 2022.  Rosina died in her sleep after battling Alzheimer’s’ for several years, she was 90 years old. She was born to Maximiliano and Antonia Vigil on September 12, 1932 in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she lived until moving to Oakland CA as a teenager. Rosina met her husband, Emile, at Oakland High School and they remained happily married for over 71 years.

Rosina joins her parents and younger brother Gorge in Heaven. She is survived by her husband Emile, her brother Gene Gonzales and sister-in-law Pat Gonzales, two sons, Gerald, and Robert (Kathy), her six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins in both California and New Mexico.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife and mother, Rosina enjoyed Genealogy, of both the Lassalle and Vigil families, and square dancing. She was also an avid volunteer at Saint Paschal Baylon Church in Oakland, The Miss Muffet Society, Children’s Home Society, and the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts to name a few.

There will be a viewing on Monday, November 28th at Holy Sepulchre in Hayward CA from 10:30 AM to Noon, followed by Catholic mass, a celebration of life and internment - all at Holy Sepulchre which is located at 1051 Harder Road, Hayward, CA 94542.  Their phone number is 510 537 6600.
