She was proceeded in death by her parents Joseph J. Fanfa and Lena G. Fanfa Hurtman and two brothers Manuel J. Fanfa and Anthony J. Fanfa and two sisters Frances T. Sequeira and Lorretta Mayes. And her ex-husband Durval P. Ramos and nephew John Sequeira and niece Janice Sequeira. She leaves behind one brother Joseph J. Fanfa -Carol Fanfa. And Sister in laws Jeanette Fanfa Naira Lima, Gilda Furtardo, and Mary Hiendl. Four Children Jeanell da Silva -Vital, David Ramos -Gloria, Mary Ramos Crowley and Christine Ramos Holder. Eight Grandchildren Denise, Durval, Felica, Lavon, Danelle, Kenneth, Nakai and Daniel And five step grandchildren Tanya-Kris Kennedy, Monica, Nicole - Julius Portillo and Gabriel and Nicolas and eight great grandchildren. She also leaves behind Goddaughter/ niece Deborah Sequeira and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins. Mary Anna was born in Oakland CA September 5th 1931. She went to Lazzier School and then to Saint Anthony's Catholic School. She graduated from Notra Dame High School in Alameda CA. then she went to Saint Peter Claver center in Seattle Washington where she studied to be a Nun. She returned home she worked at the Saint Lawrence O'tool convent then she got a job working as a cook for Saint Felicitas Catholic Church in San Leandro CA at the priest house after that she worked at Providence Hospital n Oakland CA. In 1958. She met her husband Durval P. Ramos and was married on November 22 1959 At Mary Help Of Christians Church in Oakland CA. In 1961 they welcomed their first child Jeanell and then in 1962 they moved to San Jose and welcomed their second child David she worked in the canneries in San Jose CA and in1964. She had her third Child Mary She started working for Lexington Brothers Hospital and then in 1965 they had their fourth child Christine. In 1969 she left her husband and moved her children to Oakland where she raised them by herself. In 1973 she went to Laney College to study to be an RN. In 1976 she moved her children again to Livermore CA. There she taught CCD for first graders at Saint Michaels Church. She worked for Golden Manor until 1988. She also worked for the El Dorado Motel in Livermore California. Mary Anna loved her Bingo every night and her country music Ronnie Millsap and her Mexican music. She loved to crochet and baking. She was famous for her apple pies and her lemon meringue pies her dad loved her apple spice cake. Mary Anna was very charitable she was always helping someone in need even f she didn't have it. In her later years she became a Eucharist Minister for Saint MICHAEL"S CHURCH in Livermore Until She moved to Stockton with her daughter Christine who has been her care giver for the last 16 years. She belonged to The Red Hatters Club and the Legion of Mary. Mary Anna will be missed by all her friends and Family especially all those she played bingo with.
